Alerts are sent when the daily sync of CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue finds new entries - confirmed exploitation, not rumour. The list is double opt-in, the only personal data stored is the address and consent record, and what you look up on the tracker is never logged or tied to your subscription.
